Terragni Redesign

Giuseppe Terragni took advantage of the grid and its rigidity to realize his spatial agendas, while also relying on a complex interplay of solid and void spaces. The net result of his explorations were incredibly distinct works which initially appear incredibly rational and understandable but whose interiors reveal a deeper, more thoughtful consideration of space. Our changes to Casa Rustici seek to dilute the opaque rationality of the original structure and create a more transparent, airy, adaptable living space- all through the use of elements and ideas already used by Terragni.
